Dear Prudence Review by End of Empire

“Dorsal Phinn’s version of the Beatles Dear Prudence from the Beatles White Album is a brave attempt at reworking a Beatles classic. It is always brave to take on a Beatles track and try to create something new. The track begins with some interesting seaside soundscapes and I would have enjoyed the band taking some more risks with their version of the song. I remember Siouxise and the Banshees performing this track many years ago and they benefited from taking a few risks. The track is well produced and performed with an excellent lead vocal and the singer sounds English ! I know as I am English ! I will be checking out other Dorsal Phinn tracks in the future. I imagine this track is a popular live offering.”
